“Nice song” - Jasprit Bumrah leaves a comment on Mohammed Siraj's latest Instagram post
India’s leading pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, left a comment on his bowling partner Mohammed Siraj’s latest Instagram post on Tuesday, September 17. Both bowlers are currently focused on preparing for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which begins on September 19 in Chennai.
Siraj was last seen in action during India’s tour of Sri Lanka for the T20I and ODI series. The 30-year-old has represented India in 27 Tests, taking 74 wickets.
On Tuesday, Siraj shared some pictures from the practice session. He used the song “Winning Speech” by Indian Punjabi singer Karan Aujla and captioned the post:
“Head down, hardwork on.”
Jasprit Bumrah was quick to react and praise Siraj for his choice of song, commenting:
“Nice song.”
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah last played in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup in Barbados. The 30-year-old was named Player of the Tournament as India secured their second T20 World Cup title, defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final— their first win since the inaugural edition in 2007.
India will kick off their 2024/25 home season with a series against Bangladesh
The Men in Blue will commence their 2024/25 home season with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, starting on September 19 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The second Test will be held in Kanpur, beginning on September 27.
After the Test series, Bangladesh will face India in a three-match T20I series. Rohit Sharma and his team will then host New Zealand in a three-match Test series, beginning on October 16. Later in the year, India will tour Australia for a five-match Test series, with the first Test starting on November 22 in Perth.
