"Mohammed Shami is like Ferrari" - When Irfan Pathan compared the Indian pacer to a sports car

Mohammed Shami was last seen in action at the 2023 ODI World Cup. While he didn't feature in the playing XI in the team's initial matches, he was added to the lineup after Hardik Pandya sustained an injury while playing against Bangladesh.

Playing in his first match of the showpiece event, Shami stole the show with a stunning five-wicket haul against New Zealand. He registered figures of 10-0-54-5 and was adjudged the Player of the Match as the Men in Blue completed a four-wicket win.

Following the match, Irfan Pathan compared Shami to a Ferrari. The cricketer-turned-commentator wrote on X:

"Mohammed shami is like Ferrari. Whenever you take it out of garage it will give u same speed thrill and joy to ride every time."

It is worth mentioning that Shami enjoyed an imperious run at the 2023 ODI World Cup, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 24 scalps from just seven matches.
