"Pakistan cricket team ka janaaza nikal gaya” – Danish Kaneria reacts after Shan Masood-led side lose to England by an innings and 47-run in 1st Test

Former cricketer Danish Kaneria has slammed Pakistan for their innings and 47-run loss to England in the first Test in Multan on Friday, October 11. Kaneria questioned the quality of cricket by the Men in Green as they became the first team to lose a game after scoring 500-plus in the first innings.

The 43-year-old further slammed the bowling unit as the visitors declared at 823/7 while calling for changes, bringing youngsters to the side.

Notably, the Shan Masood-led side posted 556 in their first innings before England replied strongly, courtesy of Harry Brook (317) and Joe Root (262) knocks as the duo put on a mammoth 454-run partnership for the fourth wicket. The hosts then were bundled out for 220 in their second innings on the final day.

Kaneria, who picked up 261 Test wickets for Pakistan, said on his YouTube channel (via Free Press Journal):

"Aaj Pakistan cricket team ka janaaza nikal gaya. Matlab ki kya hee bola jaaye. Jis tarah ki cricket kheli hai Pakistan ne, ya toh woh cricket khelna chod de, ya khelni hai toh youngster ko leke aa jaaye. I don't understand ki bola kya jaaye. Kab tak is tarah se dekhte rahenge, yeh kya log hain. Saadhe 800 run kha gaye.
"Mera toh gaaliyan dene ko dil kar raha hai. Humne bhi Pakistan ki home series kheli hai aur dead wickets par bowling ki hai. Kahan gayi hamaari reverse swing, Kahan gaye hamaare bouncer?"

Translated version:

"Today Pakistan cricket team died. I mean, what should I say? The way they has played cricket, either they should stop playing cricket or if they want to play then they should bring youngsters. I don't understand what to say. How long will we keep just looking (losing) like this, what kind of people are these? Almost 850 (823/7 to be specific) runs were conceded.
"I feel like abusing them. I too have played Pakistan's home series and bowled on dead wickets. Where did our reverse swing go, where are our bouncers?"

Pakistan have failed to win a single match out of their last 11 Tests, including seven losses and four draws. Masood registered his sixth loss in as many games as skipper (both home and away Tests).

“Kab cricket khelna seekhega?” – Danish Kaneria slams Babar Azam for failing twice in 1st Test

Danish Kaneria further slammed Babar Azam for managing scores of 30 and 5 on the batting-friendly pitch in Multan. Notably, Babar has failed to score a 50 in his last 18 innings in the red-ball format. His last 50-plus score was 161 versus New Zealand in January 2023.

Kaneria said:

"Babar Azam ki log baat kar rahe hain, Babar Azam sahab, ek pitch jahan ball kuch bhi nahin kar raha hai, wahan aap thumke laga rahe ho. Kya kar raha hai bhai? kab cricket khelna seekhega? Aur hamaare log usko king bana rahe hain. Kahan ka king hai?”

Translated version:

"People are talking about Babar Azam, Babar Azam Sahib, on a pitch where the ball is not doing anything, you are dancing (embarrassing) there. What are you doing brother, when will you learn to play cricket. And our people are making him king. King of where is he?”

Pakistan will next be in action against England in the second Test, which will also be played in Multan from October 15 onwards.
