After opting to bat first, South Africa reached a decent total of 183/9 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan could only manage 172/8 in 20 overs and fell 11 runs short of the target. George Linde picked up four wickets for the hosts with the ball.

He continued:
"Georgie changed the game for us and it was some great bowling from them. Davo has been great, it his his home ground and hopefully keeps going. A great start to the series, hopefully we seal it off next time."
