Pakistan will not come to India for Asia Cup 2025, T20 World Cup 2026 - Reports
Pakistan will reportedly not come to India for any ACC or ICC events until 2027. India will host the Asia Cup 2025 and the Women's T20 World Cup 2025, followed by the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. As of now, the Men in Green will not play any matches on Indian soil in all the aforementioned tournaments.
As per a report by Times of India, India will not visit Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025, which is why the PCB informed the BCCI that they would not send their team to India for the ACC and ICC events until 2027, the year when the media rights cycle ends.
India is the co-host for the Men's T20 World Cup in 2026 along with Sri Lanka, which is why an arrangement will be possible for the Men in Green's matches outside India. However, India is the sole host for the Asia Cup and Women's T20 World Cup in 2025.
It is pertinent to note that the two nations have decided against touring each other, but they are open to playing cricket against each other at a neutral venue. UAE is likely to be the neutral venue for India's matches when PCB hosts the Champions Trophy next year.
When will the next India vs Pakistan match happen?
The schedule for Champions Trophy 2025 has not been released yet. However, as per Cricbuzz, the date for the India vs Pakistan game has been finalized. The much-awaited clash of the titans will take place on March 1 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The last time the two arch-rivals battled in an ODI match was during the 2023 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium. India won that fixture quite comfortably. It will be interesting to see if India can defeat their arch-rivals once again in the 50-over format on March 1 in Dubai.
