Former Team India bowler and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey is reportedly set to join Mumbai Indians (MI) as their bowling coach. Mhambrey was part of the Mumbai Indians coaching set-up in 2008.

He made his international debut during Team India's tour of England back in 1996. The pacer was one of the many debutants on the tour such as former BCCI President and skipper Saurav Ganguly and former head coach Rahul Dravid.

The 52-year-old represented the Men in Blue twice in Test cricket and on three occasions in ODIs before hanging up his boots. In his short career, Mhambrey picked up five wickets. He etched himself as a legend for his domestic side Mumbai, picking up 284 first-class wickets.

As per TOI, Mhambrey is expected to join the Mumbai Indians as their bowling coach. The five-time champions' current bowling coach is Sri Lanka legend Lasith Malinga. He works under Mark Boucher, who leads the entire coaching set-up.

Mhambrey already has the experience of working with some of the members of the setup such as Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya. He will be expected to work alongside Malinga to help the bowling unit and work with the fast bowlers.
