Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya shine for India with ball as they restrict Sri Lanka for 161/9 in 2nd T20I

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first in the contest. Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh (2/24) dismissed Kusal Mendis (10) cheaply to provide an early breakthrough for the visiting team. Kusal Perera (53) then put on a 54-run partnership with Pathum Nissanka (32) to set a good platform for the hosts.

Just as the partnership started to look threatening, Ravi Bishnoi sent Pathum Nissanka back to the pavilion in the 10th over to give India a much-needed breakthrough. Kusal Perera then put on another 50-run partnership with Kamindu Mendis (26) to take Sri Lanka to 130/2 in 15 overs.

Hardik Pandya (2/23) dismissed both the set batters in the 16th over and dented the home team's momentum. The Lankans lost their way after that, as they could only add 31 runs in the last five overs after losing seven wickets. Ravi Bishnoi (3/26) and Axar Patel (2/30) were among the wickets along with Hardik and Arshdeep.
