New Zealand players Daryl Mitchell and Ish Sodhi visited the Gateway of India in Mumbai after the recently concluded third Test of their away series against India. The Kiwis clinched a 25-run victory at the Wankhede Stadium to become the first team to whitewash India at home in a three-match Test series.
Following their historic win, Mitchell and Sodhi unwinded at the iconic Gateway of India.
Sharing a picture on his official Instagram handle, Mitchell wrote:

Daryl Mitchell struggled to get going in the first two matches of the three-match Test series against India. However, New Zealand's middle-order lynchpin redeemed himself in the final fixture with an 82-run knock in the first innings. He also made a significant impact with his fielding throughout the series, taking eight catches.
Ish Sodhi, on the other hand, featured in the playing XI only in the third Test. The leg spinner bowled just seven overs in the match and finished with a solitary wicket.

Daryl Mitchell was delighted at New Zealand's stunning 3-0 whitewash over India. He mentioned that it was a special feeling to trump a formidable Indian team.
The 33-year-old said he was proud of his team's performance against the star-studded Indian team.
Mitchell was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo:
"It's something you dream of, and to come over here and actually achieve it, it's pretty special against a world-class Indian team. We're just a bunch of Kiwis taking on the world, and very proud to represent our country," he said. "We know how good India are - they've got a number of world-class players - and for us, it's just [about] hanging in there, keep doing what Kiwis do, and yeah, very proud of this group today."
New Zealand are now fourth in the World Test Championship (WTC 2023-25) points table. They have 72 points and 54.55 percentage of points.
