“Feels good to be holding the winning trophy” – Yuvraj Singh after guiding India Champions to WCL glory
Yuvraj Singh was thrilled to win the WCL 2024 trophy with India Champions after they beat Pakistan in the final. The 42-year-old credited the side for putting their best foot forward while reserving special praise for the support staff.
He wrote on X:
“Feels good to be holding the winning trophy at this age too. Absolutely thrilled with the boys’ (or should I say men’s) performance throughout the tournament! It’s always great to be back on the park with legends from around the world."
“A massive thank you to the crowds for coming out in large numbers to support us. And not to forget our coaches and support staff, who did an incredible job oiling our rusted machinery and helping us perform out there!” Yuvraj added.
Yuvraj Singh has played a pivotal role in helping India win the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup. Notably, Ashish Nehra was also part of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team.
