Renowned Indian television show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) featured a question about the recently concluded 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The episode aired on Tuesday, September 10.

The host of the show, renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan, asked the contestant the following question:

" Who among these was not a part of the Indian squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20I World Cup?"

The options for the question were: Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Suryakumar Yadav.

The correct answer to the question was the third option, Ashwin. Kuldeep, Jadeja, and Suryakumar were a part of the Team India squad at the ICC event. The trio featured regularly and even played in the final, with Suryakumar taking the crucial catch of David Miller in the final over to help India beat South Africa by seven runs in the summit clash. He was later appointed Team India's T20I skipper after Rohit Sharma announced his international retirement from the format.

Ravichandran Ashwin was a part of Team India in the 2021 and 2022 editions of the ICC Men's T20I World Cup. The spinner was selected due to Washington Sundar's unavailability and has often been a key player, picking up six wickets in three matches in 2021 and six wickets in five games in 2022. He was also the player to score the winning runs in Team India's famous win over arch-rivals Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 2022 edition.

Ashwin most recently captained Dindigul Dragons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024. He was also a part of the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. The Royals lost to SunRisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 of the 2024 IPL.

The veteran off-spinning all-rounder will be seen in action for Team India in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, which starts on September 19 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
