[Picture] “One of us ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy?” – Cricket Australia shares photo with megastar Ram Charan

The Cricket Australia hyped up the India-Australia rivalry ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy sharing megastar Ram Charan’s picture with a World Cup trophy in Melbourne. The South Indian actor was seen posing with the ICC trophy and Cricket Australia’s official logo.

The eye-catching post comes ahead of the five-match Test series in Australia. The war of words has already begun with the Aussies keen to win the tournament for the first time in the last 10 years.

On Monday (August 19), the Cricket Australia shared Ramcharan’s photo and wrote on X:

“One of us ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy? A pleasure to cross paths with Bollywood megastar @AlwaysRamCharan in Melbourne ahead of a massive summer of cricket between Australia and India.”

Ram Charan is an actor, producer, and entrepreneur who works primarily in Telugu cinema. The 39-year-old is one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema. He made his acting debut with box-office hit Chirutha in 2007 and has never looked back.

The Madras-born actor shot to global fame as his song 'Naatu Naatu' from the 'RRR' movie won an Oscar for Best Original Song last year. He was last seen making a guest appearance in Salman Khan’s movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.’ He will next be seen in the political action thriller 'Game Changer' in December.

“They can tickle (beat) Australia once again” – Ravi Shastri backs India to win Border-Gavaskar Trophy for 3rd time a row away from home

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has backed India to beat Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the third time in a row away from home. He recently told the ICC:

"The Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia over five Test matches is going to be a humdinger. Remember, India have beaten Australia twice on the last two tours and Australia have not had a hand on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in almost a decade and that's the reason why everyone will be waiting for these two heavyweights of Test match cricket over the last five to eight years to go head-to-head.”
"It is going to be one heck of a series and India have every chance of making it a hat-trick because they've got their bowlers fit and if they can bat well, they can tickle (beat) Australia once again," he added.

Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane led India to 2-1 wins (same margin) in the 2018-19 and 2020-21 Test series down under.
