"They can beat anybody" - Eoin Morgan on India's squad for 2024 T20 World Cup
Former England captain Eoin Morgan reckons that India are the strongest team at the 2024 T20 World Cup. He mentioned that with the firepower Rohit Sharma and company have, they can beat any side.
Picking India as the favorites to clinch the trophy this time, here's what Morgan said during a discussion on Sky Sports:
"For me, the strongest side even with injuries throughout the tournament is India without a doubt," Morgan said. "The strength and depth is absolutely incredible at the moment. We are talking about the players who missed out in the squad of 15 because of the quality they possess."
"They are favorites for me. The quality that they have on paper if they produce it I think they can beat anybody quite in the tournament," he added.
India are placed in Group A at the 2024 T20 World Cup alongside Pakistan, Canada, the USA, and Ireland. The showpiece event kicks off with a clash between USA and Canada in Dallas on Saturday, June 1.
