[Pictures] “Baku with Bapu” – Harbhajan Singh suggests better caption to Arshdeep Singh for latest Instagram post

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh is quite active on social media these days. The legendary off-spinner couldn’t hold himself on suggesting a better caption for Arshdeep Singh, who posted pictures from his holidays with family in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku.

In the snapshots shared on Instagram, Arshdeep was seen posing with his parents and sister at different places in the country. Notably, Azerbaijan is located between Europe and West Asia (also referred to as the Middle East).

Sharing the photos, Arshdeep Singh captioned his post:

“Made my trip with @makemytrip.”

Notably, both Arshdeep and Harbhajan hail from Punjab.

On the professional front, Arshdeep Singh might be picked in the India squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which starts at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on September 19.

The left-arm pacer is yet to make his Test debut but has represented India in eight ODIs and 54 T20Is, picking up 95 wickets across formats. He recently bagged four wickets in two T20Is in Sri Lanka and returned with two scalps in two ODIs.

In his first-class career, Arshdeep has bagged 49 wickets in 16 games with the help of a five-wicket haul.

As per a report in The Times of India, Arshdeep Singh and Khaleel Ahmed are likely to play as Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be rested for the two Tests against Bangladesh.


Arshdeep Singh to play in Duleep Trophy ahead of IND vs BAN Tests

Arshdeep Singh is set to play in the upcoming Duleep Trophy to make his case for the India vs Bangladesh Test series. The Punjab-born pacer has been picked in the Shreyas Iyer-led Group D for the domestic tournament. He is likely to be in action against the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Team C at Anantpur in Andhra Pradesh, beginning September 5.

Arshdeep’s team will then take on Team A (led by Shubman Gill) and Team B (led by Abhimanyu Easwaran) in the red-ball tournament from September 12-15 and 19-22, respectively.
