Actor and former Indian Premier League pre-show host Samir Kochhar has compared his character in his OTT series 'Moonwalk' to Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni. According to Kochhar, his role in the web series reminds him of Dhoni's calm and composed demeanor.

Moonwalk is a heist comedy streaming on JioCinema Premium. The first episode of the show aired on December 20. In the series, Kochhar plays a character named Maddy Sharma, who's unpredictable and likes taking risks.

Speaking about his role in the OTT show and why it reminds him of Dhoni, the actor told FilmiBeat:

"Maddy thrives on calculated risks, and playing him often reminded me of MS Dhoni's calm and composed demeanor, though Kapil Dev remains my all-time favorite cricketer."

Describing the former Indian captain as his second favorite cricketer, Kochar elaborated on how he connected with Dhoni's personality while playing the character of Maddy. He said:

"Kapil Dev has always been my all-time favorite cricketer, and I've had the privilege of working with him on several occasions. My second favorite is MS Dhoni. His calmness, composure, and exceptional leadership skills inspire me. As a captain and a person, he's truly unreal.
"Playing Maddy, a character who thrives on calculated risks, I found myself reflecting on Dhoni's calm demeanor and how it could subtly influence my performance," Kochhar explained.

Sharing his thoughts on Team India's young cricketing talents, the former IPL anchor expressed his admiration for the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant, praising their determination and perseverance.
