“Please continue to cherish and care for Radhika” – MS Dhoni shares heartfelt pictures with newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant
Former India captain MS Dhoni surprised everyone by sharing a social media post for the newly-wed couple Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Sunday, July 14. Dhoni asked Anant to take special care of Radhika while congratulating the couple on their wedding.
This was Dhoni's only second social media post after India won the 2024 T20 World Cup. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter shares only one or two posts on Instagram every year.
Dhoni’s special post comes days after Anant and Radhika tied the knot at Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai on Friday, July 12. Saturday and Sunday (July 13 and 14) were dedicated to seeking blessings from the elderly and for a wedding reception. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star had also participated in Ambani’s pre-wedding events.
Notably, Dhoni shared a picture where Radhika can be seen hugging him as Anant looks at him with a pleasant smile. The photo also featured business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Dhoni's wife Sakshi. He wrote:
“Radhika, may your radiant smile never fade! Anant, please continue to cherish and care for Radhika with the same love and kindness you show to everyone around you. May your married life be filled with happiness, laughter, and adventure. Congratulations and see you guys soon! Song is for Viren uncle.”
Notably, Radhika is the daughter of Viren Merchant, a billionaire, CEO of Encore Healthcare.
“May your love continue to shine bright” – Sakshi Dhoni wishes Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant
MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi also wished Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on their wedding. She shared an adorable picture with the newlyweds alongside MS on Instagram and wrote:
“Radhika and Anant, congratulations on your marriage! May your love continue to shine bright, just like Radhika’s smile and Anant’s kind heart. May you have a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and adventure together … lots of love and warmth always from us Dhoni s.”
MS Dhoni, who led India to three ICC titles, enjoys a great bond with the Ambani family despite playing for five-time winners Super Kings in Indian Premier League (IPL). Ambani owns Mumbai Indians franchise in the T20 extravaganza.
