'Poha', 'Avesh Khan'- Indian players on what's famous in Indore ahead of second T20I against Afghanistan

Team India have arrived in Indore ahead of the second T20I of the three-match series against Afghanistan to be played at the Holkar Stadium on Sunday, January 14.

In a video posted by BCCI, the players and the support staff were seen travelling to Indore and en route were asked about what they felt made Indore famous. While there were some unique responses, the most common ones were that of food, especially the 'Poha', and also the humor of pacer and local boy Avesh Khan.

Here's the video:

India keen to clinch series and find answers to T20 World Cup questions

The comfortable win in the first T20I in Mohali gave the Men in Blue several positives. Their bowlers did well in conditions that were tough with no movement or spin on offer.

With the bat, the likes of Jitesh Sharma (30 off 21) and Shivam Dube (60* off 40) have strengthened their claim for a spot in India's T20 World Cup squad. The hosts will want more of the same from the second T20I apart from the main goal being to clinch the series.

Star batter Virat Kohli is expected to be back in the playing XI after 14 months in T20Is after he missed the game in Mohali due to personal reasons. It will be interesting to see where he bats, especially if Yashasvi Jaiswal still hasn't recovered from his groin strain.

Kohli and Rohit Sharma had last opened the batting for India in T20Is against England in 2021 and the combination could be the one the team management wants to try if Jaiswal is unavailable.

Shubman Gill and Tilak Varma couldn't make the most of their starts in Mohali. With competitions for spots heating up and the likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya set to return at some stage, the youngsters will need to buckle up.
