Ossudu Accord Warriors also beat the Kniights by eight wickets in their match and with 11 points from 10 games, hold on to their fourth position in the Pondicherry Premier League 2024 points table.
After their defeat, Karaikal Kniights now have six points from nine matches. Despite their loss, they continue to remain fifth on the table at the moment.
The Yanam Royals are having a horror run in the tournament. They crashed to yet another loss and have seven defeats from nine games. The Royals continue to languish at the bottom of the table with just three points.

Yanam Royals batted first and posted a competitive total of 173/9 on the board. Ganga Raju top-scored with 44 while other batters made some key contributions to the total. Samar Khan, Aman Hakim Khan and Damodaran Rohit bagged two wickets each for Villianur.
In reply, Mohit Kale (56) and Aman Hakim Khan (56*) struck half-centuries as Villianur got past the line in just 16.2 overs with six wickets to spare.
The 28th match of the Pondicherry Premier League 2024 saw Karaikal Kniights put up a solid effort with the bat, posting a total of 182/6 on the back of a 40-ball 69 from Marimuthu Vikneshwaran.
However, Ayudh Sharma (84) and Jayasundaram Karthikeyan (65*) ensured that Ossudu Accord Warriors chased down the target in just 17.3 overs and won the game with eight wickets remaining.
