Post on Delhi Capitals' X handle claims the account has been hacked; the original tweet was deleted and posted again

Delhi Capitals (DC) had their official X account hacked, with the hacker posting a promotional of investing in their cryptocurrency. The post went viral on Tuesday, September 10.

In one of the many online scams, important accounts are being hacked and used to promote fishy businesses and fake currencies. Delhi Capital's official X account became a victim of the same, with the hacker putting out a tweet that read:

Yes this is a hacked account! We've launched a token called $HACKER on Solana CA: 3oBm3m2NW9auqhYTe2S92U9v6vam4cU9DYk23bwp8Yf4. We will make profits, WE hack accounts on each account the token address will be posted and the token will pump. Search $HACKER to see our strength!

That tweet was deleted and this is the screenshot of the post:

Delhi Capitals had a good run in the 2024 IPL and WPL

Delhi Capitals had an eventful run in the early part of the year. In the Women's Premier League (WPL), they finished in pole position, winning six out of their eight games and securing a place in the final. But DC lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by eight wickets in the summit clash.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals failed to reach the playoffs again. They were tied with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on points, with RCB going through. Delhi Capitals finished sixth place and ended outside the top four for the third year running.

DC are yet to win the IPL or the WPL and will be gunning to do so next year.
