RCB Squad IPL 2025: Complete Royal Challengers Bengaluru Player List with Prices in INR after IPL 2025 Auction
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had a tricky outing during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction in Jeddah on Sunday, November 24. The franchise, who retained three players heading into the auction, strengthened their squad by adding six more players to their setup.
After a surprising lull in the opening marquee set despite boasting the second-biggest purse, RCB came to life in the second marquee set. The three-time finalists bagged the services of Liam Livingstone for INR 8.75 crore to mark their first signing on the auction floor.
They did not exercise the RTM option for Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell, and also surprisingly bowed out of the race for KL Rahul as well, ending all of the homecoming rumors.
After playing the waiting game, RCB finally came to the fore by going aggressive for Phil Salt, defeating KKR in a bidding war to acquire the English wicketkeeper-batter for INR 11.50 crore.
They went through another engrossing bidding war to nail Dinesh Karthik's replacement by bringing in explosive Indian wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma into the ranks. The franchise raised a counter bid, which PBKS were unwilling to match, making him the first Indian signing for the franchise at the 2025 auction.
RCB also broke the bank to bring back one of their former player in the form of Josh Hazlewood. The Australian seamer sparked a bidding war among multiple franchises, a battle in which RCB prevailed through, taking INR 12.50 crore out of their purse.
The franchise claimed hold of an emerging pacer in Rasikh Dar, opting to raise the price following an RTM attempt by the parent franchise, DC. RCB bagged the first member of their spin department in the form of a shrewd signing.
Emerging leg-spinner Suyash Sharma was roped in for a sum of INR 2.6 crore, marking the end of business on Day 1 for the team.
RCB had a lot of gaps to fill on Day 2 of the auction, and they wasted no time in procuring two reliable Indian options in Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bolster their side. They were also heavily involved in bringing in overseas signings like their former player Tim David, all-rounders Romario Shepherd and Jacob Bethell, and also a death bowler specialist in Nuwan Thusara.
