“Reporting to my brother for Baroda duty” - Hardik Pandya set to play Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 under Krunal Pandya
World No. 1 T20I all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to feature in the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, beginning Saturday, November 23. The star all-rounder has been named in Baroda's 18-man squad as they kick off their campaign with a match against Gujarat in Indore.
The Baroda Cricket Association announced the news on their Instagram, welcoming Hardik Pandya with a post that read:
“Indian international star Hardik Pandya will join his brother and captain Krunal Pandya for Baroda, at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024, starting Nov 23 at Indore. On behalf of the BCA President and Apex Committee Members, we warmly welcome your return to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and wish you great success.”
On Friday, Hardik Pandya shared a picture with his brother Krunal Pandya on Instagram as they prepared for the tournament. The 31-year-old captioned the post:
“Reporting to my brother for Baroda Duty in Indore.”

Hardik Pandya was last seen in action during the T20I series against South Africa
The Indian all-rounder was recently part of the four-match T20I series against South Africa, where he scored 59 runs across three innings and picked up two wickets, helping India to a dominant 3-1 series victory.
Hardik’s performance also saw him reclaim the World No. 1 T20I all-rounder ranking, surpassing Liam Livingstone. The Baroda cricketer was outstanding in the 2024 T20 World Cup and has continued his strong form in subsequent series.
With 109 T20Is for India, Hardik has scored 1,700 runs, including four fifties, and taken 89 wickets.
