Rohit Sharma has become the highest-ranked Indian in the latest ICC rankings for ODI batters. Rohit exchanged his spot with his opening partner Shubman Gill at No. 2 to become the highest-ranked Indian. The Indian skipper amassed 157 runs in his three innings, comprising two half-centuries against Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka improved one place to eight following his 101 runs against the Men in Blue. Pakistan’s Babar Azam retained his top spot with 824 points, enjoying a fair margin with Rohit (765) for the World No.1 status. Other notable changes include Ireland’s Harry Tector becoming joint fourth with Virat Kohli.
Outside the top 10, Kusal Mendis improved five spots to equal 39th, while Avishka Fernando rose 20 places to 68th. Dutch batter Max O’Dowd jumped 10 places to 54th, USA’s Monank Patel (up 11 spots to equal 56th), Nosthush Kenjige (up 10 spots to 49th) and Dunith Wellalage (up 17 spots to 59th).
On the bowling front, Kuldeep Yadav retained his fourth spot in the latest ODI rankings. Jasprit Bumrah (eighth) and Mohammed Siraj (joint ninth) are the other two Indians in the top 10. South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj remains the No.1-ranked bowler.

Several South Africa and West Indies players made significant gains in the latest ICC Test rankings. Skipper Temba Bavuma rose two spots to 16th among batters. The right-hander returned with scores of 86 and unbeaten 15 in the opening Test. Opener Tony de Zorzi improved 29 places to 85th following his 78 in the first innings.
For the West Indies, Alick Athanaze rose by 12 places to 76th, while Jason Holder moved three places to 67th.
Among bowlers, Keshav Maharaj claimed eight wickets for the Proteas, to rise seven spots to equal 21st. Meanwhile, West Indies spinner Jomel Warrican jumped 12 spots to 54th following his six-fer.
Notably, India captain Rohit Sharma (sixth), Yashasvi Jaiswal (eighth), and Virat Kohli (10th) retained their spots in the top 10 ICC rankings for Test batters.
Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin consolidated his spot as the World No.1 Test bowler, while Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja were the other Indians in the top 10. Ravindra Jadeja remains the World No.1 Test all-rounder, while Ravichandran Ashwin (second) and Axar Patel (fifth) made it to the top 10.
