SA20 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Sunrisers Eastern Cape vs Durban Super Giants (Updated) ft. Ryan Rickleton and Kagiso Rabada

MI Cape Town bagged a 98-run comprehensive win over Joburg Super Kings in the fourth match of SA20 2024, while Durban Super Kings secured a 35-run win against Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the fifth contest.

Batting first, MI Cape Town posted a total of 243/5 in 20 overs. Opener Rassie van der Dussen smacked a 104-run knock off just 50 balls with the aid of nine fours and six sixes. He was well supported by Ryan Rickleton with 98 off 49 balls, a knock featuring six fours and eight sixes.

In response, Joburg Super Kings got bundled out for 145/10 in 17.5 overs. Leus du Plooy was the highest run-scorer of the innings with 48 runs off 24 balls. Olly Stone and George Linde bagged two wickets apiece.

In the other game, Durban Super Giants racked up a whopping total of 225/3 in 20 overs, thanks to JJ Smuts' 75 and Nicholas Pooran's 60*. Breetzke played a vital knock of 43 runs in the initial overs.

In response, Sunrisers Eastern Cape came closer to the target but fell short by 35 runs. Tom Abell scored 65 runs in 36 balls and he was supported by Tristan Stubbs with 55 runs. Richard Gleeson, Dwaine Pretorius, and JJ Smuts claimed two wickets apiece.

MICT opener Ryan Rickleton consolidated his top spot in the batting standings with 185 runs from two games. His colleague Rassie van der Dussen climbed up from 11th to second rank, accumulating 128 runs.

Durban middle-order batter Heinrich Klaasen moved one spot down to secure the third rank with 98 runs. Matthew Breetzke (82) continues to hold the fourth position. JJ Smuts rocketed from the bottom to the fifth rank, scoring 75 runs.

Nicholas Pooran propelled from 19th rank to occupy the sixth position, racking up 71 runs. Tom Abell (65), Tristan Stubbs (55), Leus du Plooy (48), and David Miller (41) hold the seventh, eighth, ninth, and 10th positions, respectively.
