"Saluting all the athletes from around the world" - Urvashi Rautela poses for a picture with Rahul Dravid at Paris Olympics 2024
Indian actress Urvashi Rautela met former Team India head coach and captain Rahul Dravid during the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024. She posed for a picture with the cricket legend and also extended support to the athletes competing in the event.
According to Urvashi's Instagram story, she is the first Indian actress to be officially invited to the Paris Olympics 2024. Taking to her official Instagram handle on Monday, July 29, she wrote:
"PARIS OLYMPICS 2024 🏆 saluting all the athletes from around the world competing in Paris and sending them best wishes & compliments for the game. 'If you’re the Olympic champion then they have to wait four more years to get you again' Usain Bolt."
Rahul Dravid's tenure as Team India coach ended on a successful note, with the Men in Blue ending their 11-year ICC event drought by winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. India beat South Africa by seven runs in the final, becoming the first men's team to win the tournament unbeaten.

Rahul Dravid has welcomed the decision to add cricket to the 2028 edition of the Olympics. He mentioned that the players will give their best, hoping to secure a gold medal for their country.
He also stated that he has already heard conversations within the Indian dressing room about the Olympics. The former cricketer made these comments during the show 'Cricket at the Olympics: Dawn of a new era'. He was quoted as saying by India Today:
"People are going to want to win that gold medal, stand on the podium, and be a part of the Games Village, a great sporting event, and interact with so many athletes. As you get closer, I have no doubt that teams will be preparing and checking out facilities. They will take this seriously, and players will fight tooth and nail to be out there."
"I've already heard a few conversations in the dressing room. People are talking about the 2026 T20 World Cup, there is an ODI World Cup in 2027, and you hear people saying there is the Olympics in 2028."
Los Angeles will host the Olympics in 2028. Cricket will be part of the Games in 2028 and it will be played in the T20 format.
