Sanju Samson last featured for India in July 2024

The 29-year-old was last seen in international action during India's tour to Sri Lanka in July 2024. In both T20I appearances, Samson was dismissed for a duck and could not make his chances count.

Sanju Samson garnered 70 runs in two T20I innings against Zimbabwe before the Sri Lanka series. Earlier, he produced his best-ever IPL season with 531 runs in 16 innings and led Rajasthan Royals to the playoffs.

Samson was initially overlooked for the Duleep Trophy, which marked the start of the Indian domestic 2023-24 season.
