"Is lag raha tha ye Pakistan ki tarah India ko bhi Hara dega khikhikhi"- Top 10 funny memes after Bangladesh's loss vs India in 1st Test

Bangladesh arrived in India high on confidence following a historic 2-0 clean sweep Test series win on Pakistan soil. However, things did not go as planned for them in the first Test against India in the two-match series. The Rohit Sharma-led side won comprehensively by 280 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (September 22) to take a 1-0 lead.

Bangladesh got off to a good start on Day 1 and dominated the first two sessions with the ball but lost their way after that and never managed to recover. They commenced the fourth day with 158/4 on the scoreboard in a massive chase of 515 runs.

Overnight batters Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shakib Al Hasan started watchfully and survived the first hour of the day. Just as things looked positive for them, Ravichandran Ashwin came into the attack and triggered a collapse by dismissing Shakib in his first over on Day 4. Ashwin (6/88) and Ravindra Jadeja (3/58) then cleaned up the lower order in a couple of overs to bundle out Bangladesh for 234 before the lunch break.

The first Test in Chennai entertained the fans, who expressed their reactions to Bangladesh's loss by sharing hilarious memes on social media platforms. Here are 10 of the best memes:

"I hope the batters would do something special in the next match"- Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto after loss vs India in 1st Test

At the post-match presentation, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto reflected on the positives for his side after suffering a loss in the Chennai Test, saying:

"The positive thing is how Nahid and Hasan bowled at the start but then India batted really well. Seaming options were good, we bowled very well with the new ball. I try to contribute with the bat, I enjoy my batting."

He added:

"Our plan was to bat as much as we can, playing with our strengths, without thinking much about the outcome. It's an important series. The bowlers did a great job, I hope the batters would do something special in the next match."

The two teams will now travel north to Kanpur where they will square off in the second and final Test on September 27 at Green Park.
