Schedule for India's limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka revisedĀ
The schedule for India's upcoming limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka has been revised. The two teams are all set to play three T20Is followed by three ODIs. Instead of July 26 (according to the old schedule) the first T20I will now be played on Saturday, July 27. While the second and third T20Is which were about to take place on July 27 and 29 have now been scheduled on July 28 and 30, respectively.
Although there are no changes in the schedule for the second and third ODIs, the ODI series opener which was supposed to be held on August 1 will now happen on Friday, August 2. The Pallekele International Cricket Stadium will be hosting all three T20Is (7 PM start local time) with the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo slated to host the ODIs (2:30 PM start local time).

India won the 2023 Asia Cup the last time they played in Sri Lanka
The last time India played in Sri Lanka, they won the 2023 Asia Cup by convincingly defeating the hosts in the final in Colombo. Pacer Mohammed Siraj's figures of 6-21 ensured Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 50 runs in 15.2 overs much to the disappointment of the passionate home fans.
In reply, Rohit Sharma's men chased down the target of 51 runs in just 6.1 overs and won by 10 wickets.
India will be coming into the Asia Cup 2024 after winning the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup defeating South Africa by seven runs in the final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
They remained unbeaten throughout the tournament thereby becoming the first-ever team to claim the title without losing a game. It was their second T20 World Cup crown having already won the inaugural edition back in 2007.
