"Selfless Rohit saving his Test career"- Top 10 funny memes ahead of 2nd IND vs AUS BGT 2024-25 Test
The second Test between Team India and Australia will commence on Friday (December 6) at the Adelaide Oval. The visiting team is in great spirits after beating the hosts comprehensively by 295 runs in the opening Test in Perth and taking an early 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
However, it will be a new challenge for India in Adelaide as it is a day-night Test, which will be played with a pink ball. The subcontinental side doesn't have good memories of their previous day-night Test in Australia in 2020, as they got skittled out for 36 in the second innings of that match in Adelaide. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be hoping to set the record straight with a much-improved performance this time.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the second Test after a stellar effort from Team India in the first Test. They expressed their anticipation by sharing hilarious memes on X and Instagram.

"He deserves that spot at this point in time"- Rohit Sharma on giving opening spot to KL Rahul ahead of 2nd IND vs AUS BGT 2024-25 Test
At the pre-match press conference, Rohit Sharma announced that KL Rahul will open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal in Adelaide. The 37-year-old shed light on Rahul's impressive performances in overseas conditions in the past few years and opined that he deserves a chance at the top of the order.
“He will be opening the innings, and I will bat somewhere in the middle. The way KL batted, I was watching from home with a newborn baby in my arms. He played brilliantly, so there is no need to change now; things might be different in the future—the way KL bats overseas, so he deserves that spot at this point in time," Rohit Sharma said at the presser.
Explaining the rationale behind the decision, Rohit continued:
"The way he batted and his partnership with Jaiswal was instrumental in that first test win. The way he has batted outside India, he deserves it. I will bat somewhere in the middle. It was a fairly simple decision. Personally, it wasn’t easy (as a batsman) but for the team, it was an easy decision to make."
