Sher-E-Punjab T20 2024: When and where to watch the tournament?
The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) organized a T20 competition last year, named Sher-E-Punjab T20 to promote the local talent in the state. After a successful first edition, they have decided to continue the league and the second edition will begin on Monday, June 10, 2024.
A total of six teams will compete for the title. The Sher-E-Punjab T20 2024 will be played in the double round-robin format in which each team will face each other twice in the league stages. The top four teams in the points table will qualify for the knockout stages.
There will be a total of 30 league games, followed by two semi-finals and a final. All games of this edition of Sher-E-Punjab will be held at the I. S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
The likes of Abhishek Sharma, Ramandeep Singh, Nehal Wadhera, and Prabhsimrah Singh, who impressed everyone in the recently concluded IPL, are some of the marquee players in the tournament. The young players in the state will be eager to step up and perform to grab the eyeballs of the selectors.
Sher-E-Punjab T20 2024: When to watch?
The Sher-E-Punjab T20 2024 kicks off on June 10 2024. The league stage will be played from June 10 to 24. Two games will be played on each day. The first game will begin at 3 pm IST whereas the second will start at 7:15 pm IST.
The opening match will be played between the JK Super Strikers and the Intersoft Titans at 3 pm IST. The evening game will begin at 7.15 pm IST where the defending champions BLV Blasters will lock horns with the Royal Phantoms.
The knockout stages of Sher-E-Punjab T20 2024 begins on June 25. Two semi-finals will be played on June 25 between the top four teams. The winners of two semi-finals will qualify for the grand final, which is scheduled to take place on June 27. There is also a reserve day on June 28 in case the match isn’t possible on June 27.
