Shubman Gill & Ishan Kishan pose with Sanjiv Goenka’s grandchildren ahead of ENG vs IND 2025 Tests [In Picture]

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka recently shared a picture on social media, featuring his grandchildren alongside India’s Test captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan. Gill is set to lead the Indian team in the upcoming five-match Test series against England, starting June 20 at Headingley, Leeds.

Meanwhile, Kishan was part of the India A squad for the recently concluded two-match series against the England Lions. However, the 26-year-old did not get any game time and remained on the bench for both the unofficial Tests.

On Tuesday, June 10, Sanjiv Goenka posted a picture in which the Indian duo can be seen posing with his grandchildren. Goenka captioned the post:

“My grandchildren with a great icon and India Test Captain @shubmangill and @ishankishan23 earlier today.”

Meanwhile, the Lucknow Super Giants had a disappointing IPL 2025 campaign under Rishabh Pant’s leadership. The franchise missed out on a playoff spot for the second straight season, finishing seventh in the table with 12 points from 14 matches.

Skipper Pant didn’t have the best tournament himself, managing just 269 runs in 13 innings at an average of 24.45 and a strike rate of 133.16. His best — an unbeaten 118 off 61 balls — came in the final league game against the eventual champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Against his upcoming opponents, England, Gill has featured in 10 Tests, accumulating 592 runs at an average of 37.00, with three fifties and two centuries to his name.
