“Since then I’ve been his fan” – Paralympic gold medalist Navdeep Singh picks Rohit Sharma as his favorite when asked between Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni

Paralympic gold medalist Navdeep Singh has named Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian Test and ODI teams, as his favorite cricketer. Rohit led India to their second T20 World Cup title earlier this year, guiding the team to a seven-run victory over South Africa in the final held in Barbados. Additionally, he finished as the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament with 257 runs.

Meanwhile, Navdeep earned the gold medal for India in the Men’s Javelin Throw F41 at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris. The 23-year-old athlete recently appeared on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube show 'Unplugged' where Mishra noted that Navdeep won India's seventh gold medal on September 7.

Mishra also drew a parallel to the number 7 associated with MS Dhoni and asked Navdeep if he was a fan of Dhoni or Virat Kohli. To this, Navdeep replied:

“Rohit Sharma.”

The YouTuber then asked for the reason behind his choice, to which the 23-year-old responded:

“He plays very well. He had scored a double century. What an innings that was! Since then I’ve been his fan.”

Rohit Sharma will next be in action when India face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, beginning September 19 in Chennai.
