“Smile when the world is all about attention!” – Gautam Gambhir reacts to altercation with S Sreesanth in Legends League Cricket
Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir reacted to the altercation with S Sreesanth in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) in Surat on Wednesday, December 6.
For the unversed, the incident occurred during the game between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants. Sreesanth stared at Gambhir after being hit for a six and boundary and in reply, the latter also stared back as the duo exchanged a few words. Eventually, the umpires had to intervene to calm them and resume the game.
In the end, the Gambhir-led side won by 12 runs. Sreesanth, however, alleged Gambhir for provoking him and not respecting his colleagues.
Now, Gambhir has reacted to the development with a message on X (formerly Twitter):

In the match, Gautam Gambhir led from the front as India Capitals beat Gujarat Giants by 12 runs. Batting first, the Capitals posted 223/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Gambhir top scored with 51 runs off 30 deliveries, comprising one six and seven boundaries. Rayad Emrit and Rajat Bhatia starred with the ball, bagging two wickets apiece.
In response, the Capitals restricted Gujarat to 211/7 despite Chris Gayle and Kevin O’Brien’s half-centuries. Gayle smashed 84 off 55 balls, including four sixes and nine boundaries. On the other hand, O’Brien slammed 57 off 33, comprising two maximums and seven boundaries.
Rusty Theron and Ishwar Pandey emerged as the pick of the bowlers, bagging two wickets apiece.
