“Southpaw United” - Abhishek Sharma shares a picture with Indian icons Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan

Team India opener Abhishek Sharma recently posted a picture with cricketing icons Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan. The 23-year-old shares a close relationship with Yuvraj, who has helped the youngster improve his game.

The two Punjab cricketers recently met Shikhar Dhawan, who has been out of action for some time. The 38-year-old last played for Men in Blue in an ODI game against Bangladesh in December 2022.

Moreover, he was last seen in action during the 2024 IPL. However, his tournament was cut short as he sustained a shoulder injury in the first half and remained on the bench for the remainder of the season.

As the three left-handed batters met, the SunRisers Hyderabad opener shared a picture on Instagram, captioning it:

Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh also shared an Instagram reel on a viral trend. Dhawan is known for his social media presence. He often posts reels and is up-to-date with the latest trends on the internet, and this time he was joined by the 2011 ODI World Cup’s Player of the Tournament, Yuvraj Singh.

Abhishek Sharma scored a century in his 2nd international game

The left-handed batter had an exceptional 2024 IPL, where he scored 484 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 204.22. This earned him his maiden national call-up for the Zimbabwe tour in July 2024.

The 23-year-old had a dismissal debut game as he was dismissed for a duck. Abhishek came back strongly in the second game and smashed a brilliant century. The opener scored 100 off 47 balls, hitting seven boundaries and eight sixes.

He amassed 124 runs and took two wickets in five games in his debut series.
