"Special cap from special person" - Ravindra Jadeja receives his ICC Test Team of the Year 2023 cap from Rahul DravidĀ 

Team India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was named in the ICC Test Team of the Year 2023 at the ICC awards earlier this year. He was the only Indian cricketer, other than Ravichandran Ashwin, to make the cut in the team announced by the apex council.

Jadeja took to his official Instagram handle on Wednesday, May 29, to share a couple of pictures with the cap. Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid was seen handing the player the coveted cap. Jadejacaptioned the post:

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were named in the Pat Cummins-led ICC Test Team of the Year 2023 for their stellar performances in red-ball cricket last year.

Ravindra Jadeja will be in action at 2024 T20 World Cup

Ravindra Jadeja was an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings (CKS) team in the recently concluded IPL 2024. While he claimed just eight wickets from 14 outings, he had a fantastic economy rate of 7.85 to his name.

With the bat, the southpaw finished with 267 runs across 11 innings at a strike rate of 142.78. The Chennai-based team failed to make it to the playoffs this year, finishing fifth in the points table.

Jadeja will return to action at the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and USA. Sharing his excitement over playing in New York for the first time, here's what he said in a video shared by the BCCI

"First time we gonna play in New York it's gonna be super fun."

India are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and USA. Rohit Sharma and Co. will take on Ireland in their opening contest of the showpiece event. The match will be played at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Wednesday, June 5.
