Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 top run-getters and wicket-takers after Day 2 (Updated) ft. Tilak Verma & Yuzvendra Chahal
A total of 18 matches were played across the five groups in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024 on Monday, November 25.
In Group A, Rajasthan defeated Mizoram by 62 runs, Punjab beat Bihar by six wickets, Madhya Pradesh secured a 101-run win over Meghalaya, and Bengal triumphed over Hyderabad by eight wickets.
In Group B action, Karnataka overcame Tripura by five wickets, Baroda defeated Uttarakhand by five wickets, Tamil Nadu dominated Sikkim with a 134-run win, and Gujarat beat Saurashtra by five wickets.
In the Group C fixtures, Jharkhand triumphed over Manipur by 88 runs, Delhi defeated Jammu and Kashmir by 35 runs, Haryana secured a commanding 175-run victory over Arunachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh overcame Himachal Pradesh by seven wickets.
In Group D, Railways beat Odisha by seven wickets, Chandigarh edged Vidarbha by five runs, and Puducherry defeated Chhattisgarh by six wickets. In the Group E action, Services beat Goa by 22 runs, Maharashtra defeated Kerala by four wickets, and Andhra triumphed over Nagaland by eight wickets.

Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 Most Runs
After scoring his third consecutive, Tilak Verma scored a half-century against Bengal and continues to top the most runs leaderboard with 208 runs. Delhi’s Swastik Samal (105) scored a century and moved to second spot.
Meanwhile, Himmat Singh (148) jumped from seventh to third and Ajay Rohera and Shivam Bhambri jointly hold the fourth spot with 144 runs each.
Yuvraj Chaudhary (141), Narayan Jagadeesan (138), and Shreyas Iyer (130), Shahbaz Ahmed (120) dropped to the next four spots, respectively. Hardik Pandya secured the 10th spot with 155 runs in his account.

Yuzvendra Chahal, with six wickets, moved from third to first spot after taking two wickets on Monday while Harshal Patel picked up a fifer against Arunachal Pradesh and is currently the joint-highest wicket-taker.
Meanwhile, Gangam Anikethreddy, Karan Lal, Abid Mushtaq, Darshan Nalkande, and Akhil Scaria occupy the following five positions with five wickets apiece. Tripurana Vijay, Arshad Khan, and Mukhtar Hussain complete the top 10 leaderboard with four wickets each.
