T20 Blast 2023 Most Runs and Most Wickets standings: Sam Hain and Henry Brookes lead stats charts – Updated after Day 1
Warwickshire and Lancashire made impressive starts to their campaign in the T20 Blast 2023.
Warwickshire defeated Yorkshire by 34 runs in the second match of the day at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Sam Hain became the Player of the Match after he scored 83 runs off 45 balls with seven fours and four sixes.
In the first game of the day, Lancashire beat Derbyshire by four wickets at the same venue in Birmingham. Luke Wells became the Player of the Match after he scored 66 runs off 35 balls with nine fours and three sixes.
Warwickshire are sitting on top of the table with two points and a net run rate of +1.70 thanks to their stupendous start. Lancashire are placed second below them.
Sam Hain leads run-scoring charts in T20 Blast 2023
Sam Hain is the leading run-scorer of the T20 Blast 2023 after he scored ed 83 runs at a strike rate of 184.77. He has been a consistent performer in the English domestic circuit and is expected to score more runs as the tournament goes along.
Luke Wells is second on the list with 66 runs at an average of 66 and a strike rate of 188.57 with nine fours and three sixes. Apart from Sam Hain and Luke Wells, Wayne Madsen also scored a half-century to start his campaign in the T20 Blast 2023.
Chris Benjamin, Dawid Malan, and Dominic Bess scored 46, 43, and 42 respectively. Jafer Chohan, Leus du Plooy, and Daryl Mitchell also played handy knocks.
Henry Brookes leads wicket-taking charts in T20 Blast 2023
Henry Brookes is the leading wicket-taker after he picked up four wickets for 23 runs at an average of eight. Luke Wood is second on the list with three wickets to his name at an excellent economy rate of six.
Craig Miles, Matthew Revis, Zak Chappell, Chris Woakes, and Zaman Khan picked up two wickets apiece. Zaman Khan was also excellent while playing for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League.
