The 15 members of the Indian squad that won the 2024 T20 World Cup and head coach Rahul Dravid will be awarded INR 5 crores each from the bumper INR 125 crore reward announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). According to a report by the Indian Express, the squad players who did not feature in a single match will also be awarded the prize money, while the travelling reserves are also recipients of INR 1 crore each.

The rest of the core back room staff, which includes batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach T Dilip will receive INR 2.5 crore each. The rest of the support staff - the three physiotherapists (Kamlesh Jain, Yogesh Parmar and Thulasi Ram Yuvraj), three throwdown specialists (Raghavindraa Dvgi, Nuwan Udeneke and Dayanand Garani), two masseurs (Rajeev Kumar and Arun Kanade), and the strength and conditioning coach (Soham Desai) will granted INR 2 crore each as well.

The five members of the selection committee, including chairman Ajit Agarkar, will also receive INR 1 crore each for their contribution towards the historic win.

The likes of video analysts, media officers, and the team's logistics manager, which make up the final portion of the 42-man contingent that travelled from India, are slated to be rewarded as well.

“Players and support staff have been informed about the amount of prize money they will be receiving from the BCCI and we have asked everyone to submit an invoice,” a BCCI source told the Indian Express.

BCCI's reward for the 2024 T20 World Cup winning squad is well beyond comparison against some of Team India's triumphs in the past. Players were awarded INR 2 crore and 1 crore each following the 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy triumphs.
