"Thank you Rishabh Pant for greatest move in Cricket history"- Top 10 funny memes as fans reminisce about India's T20 WC win on 1-month anniversary

Fans fondly reminisced about India's T20 World Cup victory on Monday (July 29), the one-month anniversary of the achievement. It was a special triumph as the Indian players and fans waited patiently for over 11 years for an ICC trophy, which they last won in 2013 (Champions Trophy).

Since then, Team India has performed consistently in major tournaments but suffered losses in knock-out games on most occasions. In the most recent 2023 ODI World Cup, the Men in Blue dominated through the league stage and semi-finals to reach the final without a loss and looked invincible.

However, they had a bad day in the final, where Australia beat them convincingly. It was a huge heartbreak for the players and supporters as the Indian team fell short in the summit clash of the home World Cup.

The team regrouped after the deflating setback and put on an improved performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup in June. Captain Rohit Sharma led his side from the front again, like last year, and lifted the trophy this time. India also became the first team to win the T20 World Cup without losing a single match in the tournament.

Fans across the country celebrated jubilantly as soon as the last ball was bowled in the final against South Africa on June 29. Players also received a grand welcome when they arrived with the trophy on July 4. Cricket enthusiasts recollected the joyous moments of triumph on its one-month anniversary and compiled memes to express their emotions with their peers through social media platforms. Here are some of the memes:

Suryakumar Yadav leads India to a series win against Sri Lanka after taking over reins from Rohit Sharma

After winning the World Cup last month, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from the shortest format on a high note. After his first ICC trophy as a captain in international cricket and second as a player, Rohit hung up his boots in T20Is, leaving the captaincy spot vacant.

The selectors then decided to hand over the responsibility to Suryakumar Yadav earlier this month, entrusting him to take the Indian team ahead with an eye on the 2026 T20 World Cup at home.

Surya's tenure began well with two consecutive wins against Sri Lanka over the past week, which sealed the three-match series for Men in Blue.
