Suryakumar Yadav has had a great year so far. In what was a poor campaign for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024, the talented batter did well, scoring 345 runs at an average of 34.20. He also scored a century in the campaign which resulted in one of the team's four wins.

SKY was also a part of Indian team, which won the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. He had an impressive showing with the bat, scoring 199 runs across eight matches, with fifties against Afghanistan and USA.

He played a key role in the final with a catch of David Miller which helped Team India beat South Africa in the summit clash by seven runs.

After Rohit Sharma hung his boots in T20Is, Suryakumar Yadav was announced as the skipper of Team India in the shortest format. He led the team to a series win against Sri Lanka in July, beating the Islanders 3-0.

Currently, he is nursing an injury and is expected to be back in action for the T20I series against Bangladesh starting October 6.
