The Hundred Men’s 2024: Most Runs and Most Wickets after Manchester Originals vs Birmingham Phoenix (Updated) ft. Phil Salt and Tim Southee 

Birmingham Phoenix beat Manchester Originals by nine wickets in Match No. 32 of The Hundred on Thursday, August 15. After the match was reduced to 30 balls per side, the Originals scored only 41 for five wickets. Phil Salt and Max Holden got into double digits, but could not get a big score.

Adam Milne picked up two wickets while Tim Southee, Sean Abbott, and Chris Wood picked up one wicket apiece. The Phoenix chased down the target with eight balls to spare. Ben Duckett’s unbeaten 12-ball 22 took them past the finish line.

James Vince finished the league stage atop the run-scorers list. In eight matches, the Southern Brave batter has notched up 357 runs from eight games at an average of 59.50 and a strike rate of 148.75 with four half-centuries and a top score of 90 not out.

Ben Duckett is second on the list, having racked up 262 runs from six matches at an average of 87.33 and a strike rate of 175.83 with two fifties to his name. Phil Salt has looked in good touch after scoring 228 runs from eight games with a top score of 61.

Nicholas Pooran, Tom Banton, Alex Hales, Jordan Cox, and Dawid Malan also played handy knocks for their teams.

Sam Curran is currently the top wicket-taker in the ongoing edition of the tournament. The left-arm seamer has taken 17 wickets from eight games with a five-wicket haul to his name. Adam Zampa of the Oval Invincibles is second on the list with 17 wickets at an economy rate of 9.41.

Tim Southee climbed to third with 14 wickets at an economy rate of seven. Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, and Haris Rauf have also been among the wickets.
