The Hundred Men’s 2024: Most Runs and Most Wickets after Manchester Originals vs Welsh Fire (Updated) ft. Joe Clarke and David Willey 

On Thursday, July 25, Welsh Fire defeated Manchester Originals by eight wickets in Match No.3 of the Hundred Men at Old Trafford in Manchester. After being asked to bat first, the Originals, led by Phil Salt, could only score 86 for the loss of eight wickets.

Jamie Overton and Scott Currie were their top batters with knocks of 23 and 26, respectively. David Willey was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets while conceding 14 runs. Josh Little took two wickets. David Payne, Jake Ball, and Mason Crane accounted for a scalp apiece.

The Fire chased down the target with 43 balls left in their innings. Joe Clarke stayed not out on 33 runs off 24 balls with the help of three fours and a six.

James Vince remains the top run-scorer of the tournament, having racked up 56 runs at an average of 56 and a strike-rate of 160. Liam Dawson is second in the list with 45 runs at a strike-rate of 236.84. Left-handed batter Daniel Hughes is third in the list with 45 runs at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 150.

Dan Lawrence, Joe Clarke, Sam Billings, Scott Currie, and Rishi Patel have also started their campaign with the bat on an impressive note.

Adam Zampa is currently the top run-wicket-taker in the tournament. The leg-spinner has taken three wickets at an economy rate of 3.30. David Willey and Craig Overton have picked up three wickets apiece.

Mohammad Amir was stupendous against Birmingham Phoenix as he picked up two wickets for seven runs. Will Jacks, Tim Southee, Josh Little and Saqib Mahmood also have two wickets in the championship until now.
