"Theek hai bat le lena" - India captain Suryakumar Yadav posts story with Rinku Singh ahead of Sri Lanka T20Is
India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav recently took to his official Instagram handle to post a picture with Rinku Singh with a cheeky caption offering his bat to the 26-year-old.
During the IPL earlier this year, a video between Rinku Singh and Virat Kohli did the rounds where the former asked for one of the latter's bats. Picking up the incident, Suryakumar Yadav shared an Instagram story of him and Rinku, with the caption:
"Theek hai bat le lena" (Okay, you can have the bat).
Just above, he added a GIF reading 'God's Plan'. This phrase is commonly associated with Rinku as he has used it on a couple of occasions, most famously after Kolkata Knight Riders lifted the IPL trophy earlier this year.

Suryakumar Yadav to lead India in the upcoming T20Is against Sri Lanka
Suryakumar Yadav will be taking over the reins from Rohit Sharma and will lead India in the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka. Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill will be his deputy in the upcoming series.
Many expected Hardik Pandya to be appointed as the next skipper, with the all-rounder being named as vice-captain during the recently concluded ICC Men's T20 World Cup. However, the Mumbai Indian's skipper has been overlooked, bearing in mind his fitness and workload.
Speaking on the same, Ajit Agarkar added:
"Obviously, you want a captain that is likely to play all the games... As regards to Hardik, he's still a very important player for us... Those sorts of skillsets are very difficult to find, what he has. Fitness obviously has been a challenge for him over the last few years and that then becomes a little bit more difficult for a coach or even us selectors," he stated.
Agarkar mentioned that Suryakumar Yadav's appointment as captain came after he received positive feedback from the dressing room. The Indian chief selector added:
"Suryakumar Yadav was made the captain because he is one of the most deserving candidates. We know, we have been around the group over the last year, and get feedback from the dressing room a lot. He has got a great cricket brain and he is one of the best T20 batters in the world.
"One of the main issues, obviously, was you want a captain that's likely to play all the games. We think he is a deserving candidate and hopefully, we will see over time how he develops into the role."
Suryakumar Yadav is no stranger to T20I captain, having led India before twice. His first assignment as full-time captain will begin with the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, with the series opener to be played on July 27 at Pallekele.
