"There is a reason why India is called the Abbu of Pakistan"- Top 10 funny memes as Pakistan loses against multiple Indian teams this year
India's domination over Pakistan in cricket continued this year with the recent match in the 2024 Women's Asia Cup in Dambulla. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian Women's team beat their neighboring nation by three wickets in their opening match of the tournament on Friday (July 19) at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
Pakistan captain Nida Dar won the toss and opted to bat first in the contest. Deepti Sharma (3/20), Shreyanka Patil (2/14), Renuka Singh (2/14), and Pooja Vastrakar (2/31) performed collectively in the bowling department for the Women in Blue to bundle out the opposition team for just 108 in 19.2 overs. Sidra Ameen (25), Tuba Hassan (22), and Fatima Sana (22) got starts but failed to convert them into substantial scores.
In reply, Smriti Mandhana (45) and Shafali Verma (40) put on an 85-run opening partnership in 9.3 overs to make it an one-sided contest. The Pakistan bowlers picked up three quick wickets after that, but it was too late as India chased down the target in 14.1 overs to start their Asia Cup campaign with a thumping victory.
Fans enjoyed the lop-sided contest between the archrivals on Friday night. They pointed out India's convincing victories against Pakistan in Men's, legends, and women's cricket this year and used the situation to compile hilarious memes.
