"This one is for you" - Nitish Reddy dedicates maiden ton in 4th BGT 2024-25 Test to a family member
Team India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy shared a post on his official social media account, dedicating his maiden Test hundred to his father, Mutyalu Reddy. The batter is unbeaten at the crease in the ongoing fourth Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Nitish Kumar Reddy walked out to bat early on Day 3 of the fourth Test of the five-match series on Saturday, December 28. He had played a crucial role with the bat in hand in the first two Tests, scoring 41& 38 at Perth and 42 in both innings at Adelaide. He had batted only once in the third Test at Gabba, where he scored 16 runs.
Nitish walked out to bat after Rishabh Pant lost his wicket in the fourth Test. The batter got to his half-century in the second session before he batted in the middle and reached his maiden century with a boundary. Post that, the 21-year-old posted a story on his Instagram account that read:
"This one is for you"

Mutyalu Reddy, father of Nitish Kumar Reddy, opened up on how he felt when his son got closer to the century. In an interview with Fox Sports after the end of the day's play, he had the following response to Adam Gilchrist's question:
"Very very tension sir. Last wicket Mohammed Siraj, very tension tension."
Nitish is currently batting on 105 runs in 176 balls. His knock has ensured that Team India ended Day 3 on 358/9, trailing behind by 116 runs.
