TNPL 2024: How did the IPL players fare in Chepauk Super Gillies vs Dindigul Dragons, Eliminator? ft. Ravichandran Ashwin & Shivam Singh
Chepauk Super Gillies and Dindigul Dragons met in the Eliminator match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 on Wednesday, July 31. NPR College Ground in Dindigul hosted the clash.
Chepauk Super Gillies were put to bat first. With skipper Baba Aparajith’s 72 and decent contributions from Narayan Jagadeesan (25) and Pradosh Paul (19), they had set a 159-run target for six.
Sandeep Warrier took two wickets for the Dragons while Varun Chakravarthy, Subodh Bhati, and P Vignesh picked up one apiece. In reply, the Dragons chased the target in 19.5 overs thanks to Shivam Singh’s 64, Ravichandra Ashwin’s 57, and Bhati’s 14* off 12 in the lower order.
J Prem Kumar and Rahil Shah claimed two wickets for Chepauk while Abhishek Tanwar took one.

Shivam Singh (Dindigul Dragons)
Shivam Singh, who represented PBKS in the 2024 IPL, scored a 49-ball 64-run knock in the previous game. His knock featured six fours and two sixes.
Sandeep Warrier (Dindigul Dragons)
Sandeep Warrier, the Gujarat Titans pacer, was the most effective bowler for the Dindigul Dragons. He conceded 35 runs in four overs and also picked up two wickets.
