"Top man Top knock" - Suryakumar Yadav reacts to Sanju Samson's post on his 2024 Duleep Trophy hundred
Team India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav left a wholesome comment under wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson's post on social media. It came after Samson scored a fine century in the Duleep Trophy on Friday (September 20). The match is being played at Rural Development Trust Stadium B, Anantapur.
Samson (106 off 101) walked out to bat at the fall of the fourth wicket for India 'D'. He went about his business, dealing with boundaries and helping India 'D' to come back from a muddy situation. In the process, he brought up his century, his first in the Duleep Trophy and 11th in his First Class career.
Expressing gratitude, Samson put out a post on his official Instagram handle with the following caption:
"Good times with the white jersey and the red ball..😊"

Suryakumar Yadav representing India 'B' in the third round of Duleep Trophy 2024
Team India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav was scheduled to play for India 'B' in the first couple of matches but the 34-year-old was out of action, owing to an injury he suffered while representing Mumbai in the Buchi Babu Tournament held in Tamil Nadu.
The India 'B' outfit, which is currently playing against India 'D' in the third round, is led by Shreyas Iyer. Surya only managed to score five runs in 15 balls which included a boundary.
The Mumbai Indians star batter was appointed the captain of Team India following Rohit Sharma's retirement from the shortest format of the game. He had a successful first stint in Sri Lanka, leading the current T20 World Cup champions to a 3-0 series win against the hosts.
Suryakumar Yadav is expected to be in action for the Men In Blue in their upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, which begins on October 6.
