India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has reacted hilariously to Jemimah Rodrigues’ latest Instagram story on Monday, July 15. The funny reaction came after Rodrigues shared a picture of Mandhana wearing a yellow T-shirt and matching shoes while heading to Chennai. Notably, the duo share a great bond on and off the field.

The two players will seemingly take a flight from Chennai to Sri Lanka for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2024, set to be played in Dambulla from July 19 to 28. India Women will begin their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan Women on the 19th.

On the professional front, Mandhana recently won the ICC Women's Player of the Month for June. The left-hander scored 117, 136, and 90 runs in three ODIs before hitting 149 in the one-off Test against the Proteas. Her exploits helped India clean sweep the ODI series 3-0 and win the Test match by 10 wickets.

In July, she returned with scores of 46 and 54 not out in two T20Is. The three-match T20I series ended in a tie.

Smriti Mandhana expressed her gratitude at winning the ICC Women's Player of the Month for June following her exploits against South Africa. She said (via Royal Challengers Bengaluru):

“I'm glad to be named ICC Women's Player of the Month for the month of June. I'm really happy with the way I think the team has performed and I'm happy to contribute for us, winning the ODI and the Test series.
"Hopefully we can continue our form, and I can even further contribute to win matches for India," she added.

Mandhana will now be keen to continue her sublime for at Asia Cup. India will play Pakistan, UAE and Nepal in group stage.
