Australia opener Travis Head waltzed his way to another century in the ongoing ODI against England on Thursday, September 19. The match was played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
Head opened the innings during the chase alongside Australian captain, Mitchell Marsh. He was a bit slow to get off the blocks and lost Marsh at the other end, which prompted him to shift gears. He put rode his way to another century, his sixth in the 50-over format.
According to cricket fans on social media, the 30-year-old has a penchant for scoring against teams wearing the colour blue. Many people drew parallels between his hundred from the 2023 ICC Men's ODI World Cup against India, played on November 19.

Australia beat England by seven wickets in the first ODI of the ENG vs AUS 2024 series
England won the toss and elected to bat first in the first ODI against Australia. The hosts were going along smoothly, having scored 150/1 after 22 overs. Wickets fell in heaps as England crashed to 315 at the end of their innings, with Ben Duckett (95 off 91) and Will Jacks (62 off 56) being the top contributors. For Australia, Marnus Labuschagne and Adam Zampa picked up three wickets each.
In pursuit of 316, the Kangaroos lost Mitchell Marsh (10 off 14) cheaply. Steve Smith and Cameron Green chipped in with 32 runs each, but Travis Head (154* off 129) and Marnus Labuschagne (77* off 61) helped Australia chase the score down in a canter with 36 balls remaining.
With this win, Australia have taken a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series. The second ODI will be played at Headingley, Leeds.
