Trinibago Knight Riders rope in Chris Jordan to replace the injured Ali Khan for the remainder of CPL 2024
Trinibago Knight Riders have signed the immensely experienced Chris Jordan to replace the injured Ali Khan for the remainder of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024. It will be a second stint with the Knight Riders for Jordan, having already featured for them during the 2019 CPL.
The 35-year-old joined the Trinidad-based franchise to replace Pakistan speedster Mohammad Hasnain in the seventh edition of the league where he picked up seven wickets in the five matches he played. The Trinibago Knight Riders crashed out of the 2019 CPL having lost the Qualifier 2 clash against eventual winners Barbados Tridents.
Interestingly, both Chris Jordan and Ali Khan took two wickets each in that game. The Englishman, with 399 T20 wickets to his name so far, was last seen in action for Surrey against the eventual runners-up Somerset in the first semifinal of the recently concluded 2024 Vitality T20 Blast in Birmingham.
