Co-hosts United States have made a surprise entry into the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup. While Team India topped Group A, with seven points, the US finished a commendable second, knocking Pakistan out of the competition. United States began their 2024 T20 World Cup campaign with an impressive seven-wicket win over Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas in their tournament opener. In their second match, also in Dallas, they pulled off a stunning Super Over win over Pakistan.
The US suffered their first defeat in the competition when they went down to India by seven wickets at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. They confirmed their berth in the Super 8 round of the 2024 T20 World Cup after their match against Ireland in Florida was abandoned due to rain.

Having progressed to the Super 8 round of the tournament, United States have been placed in Group 2 alongside South Africa, the West Indies and England. They begin their campaign with a match against the Proteas at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, on June 19.
The US' second Super 8 match will be against the West Indies at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 22. The co-hosts conclude their campaign in the Super 8 stage with a game against England in Barbados on June 23.

The top two sides from Group 1 and Group 2 in the Super 8 round will make it to the semifinals of T20 World Cup 2024.
The first semifinal will be held at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on June 27, while the second will be on the same day at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The final will be played at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29.
