"Usko bhi toh feko, mereko kyu mar rhe ho" - Rishabh Pant’s chat with Litton Das goes viral during 1st IND vs BAN 2024 Test

Team India wicketkeeper-batter had a little chat in the middle with Bangladesh counterpart Litton Das in the first session on Day 1 (Thursday, September 19) of the first Test. The match is being played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

The incident occurred on the third ball of the 16th over. Pant's partner at the other end, Yashasvi Jaiswal placed the ball towards point and set off for a single. Pant just about made it, as a throw at his end hit him in the calf.

Litton Das wasn't please with that and made his displeasure known when Pant went on strike. The stump mic was able to catch the Indian player's comments, who replied to Das, saying:

"Usko bhi toh feko, mereko kyu mar rahe ho" (Throw it to him as well. Why are hitting me)

Rishabh Pant walked out to bat after Team India was in a precarious situation. The southpaw counter-attacked well and got a few boundaries under his belt on his comeback to Test cricket. He wanted to go after Hasan Mahmud but nicked one behind to Litton Das who held onto the ball. Pant was dismissed for 39 runs in 52 balls.

Earlier in the day, Team India were put into bat first after Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field. The hosts lost their captain and opener Rohit Sharma (6 off 19) cheaply while Shubhman Gill (0 off 8) walked off without troubling the scorers. Virat Kohli (6 off 6), who is playing a Test after eight months, also failed to contribute much to the runs tally, with Team India at 34/3.

At the moment, they are at 111/4 after 30 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul are batting in the middle for the hosts
